Questions & answers

The things customers ask us most before ordering a tank.

What size of tank do I need?

A household of five to eight people is usually comfortable on 2,000 litres. Busy homes, shops and rentals commonly use 5,000 litres. Schools, car washes and institutions plan around 6,000 to 10,000 litres, and estates or production sites use 16,000 litres and above.

Are Roto tanks safe for drinking water?

Yes. The water contact surface is food-grade, so stored drinking water stays clean and odour free when the tank is kept closed and rinsed periodically.

Why are some prices shown as 'on request'?

A few capacities move in and out of stock, so we confirm the current price with you rather than publishing a figure that may have changed.

Do the prices include delivery?

No. Listed prices are ex-yard in Kenyan Shillings. Transport is quoted per location and capacity, and we confirm it before you pay.

How long does delivery take?

Smaller tanks often go out on local dispatch. Larger capacities are placed on planned or scheduled logistics with an agreed date, which we confirm when you order.

What base does the tank need?

A flat, level base that supports the entire bottom of the tank — a concrete slab, well-compacted murram or a properly built steel tower. Never leave any part of the base unsupported.
